Short Bio

Professor SHI Jianzhong is Vice-President of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). He is also the Director of the CUPL Data Law Lab, the Dean of the Institute for Data Law of CUPL and the Director of CUPL Center for Competition Law. His research interests include Competition Law, Data Law and Economic Law. In addition, Professor SHI Jianzhong serves as a member of Expert Advisory Group of the Anti-monopoly Commission of the State Council. He is the Vice Chairman of both the Economic Law Association of China Law Society and the China Law Association on Science and Technology. Also, he is the Vice Chairman of China Society for Market Regulation. Professor SHI Jianzhong is appointed as a legal adviser of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, Deputy Head of Expert Group on the Drafting of the Telecommunication Law, and a member (Convenor) of Expert Advisory Group of the Negotiation on Trade and Competition Policy of the New Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations of Ministry of Commerce. Professor SHI was awarded the title of "The Spiritual Power of the Constitution and the Rule of Law -- the Person of the Year of the Rule of Law in 2022" in China.
