Short Bio

Bidyadhar Majhi has an MA in Analytical and Applied Economics and a Ph. D in Economics, along with a master degree in Law. He has been working with the Competition Commission of India since 2010 and currently holding the position of Adviser(Economics) and head of the Combination Division.He has extensive experience of handling anti-trust matters inthe Competition Commission of India as Joint Director,Director, andAdviser in Anti-trust Division. Prior to joining CCI, Dr. Majhi was afaculty memberof theIndian Institute of Foreign Trade,University ofDelhi, InstituteofCharteredAccountantsofIndia, and Berhampur University in Odisha. He has fifteen years of professional and administrative experience along with eleven years of under graduate and post graduate teaching experience in the area of Economics.Dr.Majhi has also been engaged in research and writing and published several text books, research papers and articles as well as a member of editorial board of CCI Journal on Competition Law and Policy and many others.
